Southwestern Chicken Chili (Bev’s recipe)

Southwestern Chicken Chili

Add 2 boneless chicken breasts cut into small bite size pieces
(I USE chickpeas instead and brown them with the onions)
1 large onion chopped
Brown the onion and chicken or chickpeas and then add:
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp dried oregano
2-3 gloves garlic
2 tsp salt
Add 32 ounce carton of chicken broth
2 or 3 cans black beans- rinsed and drained
2 can roasted green chilis
2-3 cans corn
2 bay leaves
Bring to boil and then simmer and add:
3 Tblsp lime juice
2 tblsp sugar

1/4 cup chopped cilantro
